Our friends at UK-based kitchen design company deVol sent over a space that caught our eye, located in a Georgian terrace just off London’s Regent’s Park. According to deVol, “Our brief was simple: include nothing that is not useful or beautiful. The house is full of original features, oversized windows, and generous proportions, but by working with the owners, we pared it all back and kept things plain and understated.”
Here’s a look:
Above: The millwork is from deVol’s Classic English kitchen line. Above: Perrin & Rowe’s Ionian Faucet in polished brass is mounted on a Carrara marble inset; the classic undermount farmhouse sink is from Shaws of Darwen. Above the table in the dining room, which opens onto the kitchen, is a Plaster Cone Wall Light from Rose Uniacke. Above: The walls are painted in Farrow & Ball’s Skimming Stone, and the cabinetry is painted in a custom chocolate brown that Devol mixed up especially for this kitchen. Above: The handcrafted Polished Bronze knobs in small are from deVol. Above: The kitchen island has a limed wide-board oak worktop, and the Lacanche Cluny 1000 range cooker in stainless steel is flanked by Belgian blue limestone countertops. Above: The Plaster Cone Hanging Light over the worktable is from Rose Uniacke. Above: Above the counter is a deVOL stained Sapele wood shelf with floating brackets. Above: A Fisher & Paykel integrated fridge freezer (RS9120WRJ1) is concealed behind cabinetry that reads as freestanding; the handcrafted Polished Bronze Pull Handles are from deVol. Above: A peak inside the Fisher & Paykel fridge.
