Why a Silgranit Sink Might be a Kitchen Must Have

A Silgranit sink is a type of sink made by Blanco. Many kitchen designers feel it is the most durable sink on the market. These sinks can be found at numerous plumbing supply stores, home interior stores, home fixture showrooms, or online. If you are thinking of buying one, it’s best to check it out and test it in person. Be sure to only purchase your sink through an authorized retailer, otherwise, the warranty may not be valid.

The production company Blanco is known as a leader in granite, granite-like, and composite sinks. They have been in business for over 30 years and have manufactured millions of sinks. There are seven exclusive patents on the Silgranit material, making it the only one of its kind on the market.

    Scratch and Stain Resistant

Blanco Silgranit sinks are scratch and stain-resistant. This may not sound like the biggest deal ever, but imagine paying a lot of money for a beautiful sink and finding a large gash in it days after installation because one of your family members put their dishes in the sink haphazardly. Because Silgranit consists of 80 percent natural granite it is literally as hard as a rock. This makes it very durable and durability equals peace of mind.

    Heat Resistant

Drain your spaghetti noodles with confidence because Silgranit sinks are heat-resistant up to 280 C or 536 F. High temperatures will not impact their durability.

    Easy to Clean

Keeping your Silgranit sink clean is extremely easy. They do not require harsh chemicals, which makes them a green option and very environmentally friendly. Daily cleaning can be done with any non-abrasive cleaner. For optimum care, rinse and wipe the sink dry with a clean, soft cloth to eliminate any water spots or soap film build-ups after every use. Avoid bleach or any harsh cleaners.

    Styles and Finishes

There is an abundance of styles, sizes, and finishes of the Silgranit sink available. There are over 30 styles of sinks and 8 color options. The sinks are cast in a single pouring, so there is no variation in the color and the color is the same throughout the body of the sink. The underside of each sink may appear rough in texture. This is on purpose. The roughness is a result of the production method and has no impact on the sink’s durability or strength.

With those variations available, it’s easy to pick a sink that works well with your kitchen. Kitchens are meant to be both beautiful and functional and products like the Blanco Silgranit sink help make that hope a reality. The price point is good, the aesthetics are good, and you can not beat the durability.
